The Kentucky-bred son of Super Saver got a late start to his 2-year-old campaign, winning his first career start last December at Los Alamitos. As a 3-year-old, he was second in the Sham Stakes at Santa Anita Park before a win on the tapeta synthetic surface last month at Golden Gate Fields in the El Camino Real Derby. Baffert is a three-time winner of the Sunland Derby (Gr. III), most recently in 2014 with Chitu. In addition to saddling two Triple Crown winners (American Pharoah in 2015 and Justify in 2018), the Hall of Fame trainer has won more than 3,000 races with earnings of more than $298 million. Super Saver has sired multiple stakes winners, most notably 2015 Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Runhappy.
