Unbeaten after his first two starts, the Kentucky-bred son of Quality Road won the Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes at Del Mar last fall before ending his 2-year-old campaign with a third place finish in the Grade Los Alamitos Futurity. He was a close third in the Grade 2 Robert Lewis Stakes last month at Santa Anita. The sire Quality Road has been a talent both on and off the track. A winner of the 2009 Florida Derby, he had a strong campaign as an older horse, winning the Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park as well as the Metropolitan Mile at Belmont Park and the Woodward Stakes at Saratoga. Among his leading progeny are City of Light, winner of both the 2018 Breeders Cup Dirt Mile at Churchill Downs and the 2019 Pegasus World Cup Invitational at Gulfstream Park.
