After a pair of off-the-board efforts in two starts as a juvenile, the son of Cairo Prince ran third in a pair of maiden races at Santa Anita before breaking his maiden in his fifth career start on February 22. Kruljac has been a thoroughbred trainer for nearly 35 years and is a multiple stakes winning conditioner, having saddled more than 1200 winners and earnings topping $21 million. His top earners include Leave Me Alone, winner of the 2005 Grade 1 Test Stakes at Saratoga and in 2015 at Santa Anita Park with Grade 3 Wilshire Handicap winner Blingismything. Cairo Prince was a highly regarded prospect on the road to the 2014 Kentucky Derby, winning three times from five starts. As a juvenile, he won the Grade 2 Nashua Stakes at Aqueduct, then won the Grade 2 Holy Bull Stakes at Gulfstream Park in the first start of his 3-year-old campaign.
