Since breaking his maiden last December at Zia Park, the son of Into Mischief has represented himself well at Sunland Park, with his most recent second place finish in the $100,000 Mine That Bird Derby on his resume. Bred in Kentucky, Top Draw ran twice back east at Monmouth Park and Gulfstream Park before shipping to New Mexico and winning at first asking. He finished third in his first try with winners before settling for fourth last January in the Riley Allison Derby and his runner-up effort behind Sir Rick in the Mine That Bird Derby. His sire Into Mischief was a Grade 1 winner as a 2-year-old and has since produced multiple graded stakes winners including Goldencents, back-to-back winner of the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile in 2013 and 2014, as well as Vicar's In Trouble, winner of both the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby and Grade 2 Super Derby in 2014. Hernandez teamed with Judge Lanier Racing in 2017 to win the Mine That Bird Derby before a solid second place finish in the Sunland Derby (Gr. III) with Conquest Mo Money.
